ABOUT
I’m Jasmine Avery — a public speaker, leadership facilitator, coach, and attorney with more than a decade of experience helping individuals and organizations communicate with confidence and lead with intention.
My passion for speaking began in 2012 through preaching, teaching, and facilitating programs in church and community settings. As a student, I was deeply involved in leadership — serving as president of my high school drama club, a two-time drum major of the marching band, class vice president, and a member of student council and the National Honor Society. Those early experiences shaped both my voice and my understanding of influence.
Since 2015, leadership workshops have been at the heart of my work. I’ve been accepted into and trained through multiple leadership programs, learning how to facilitate groups of 100+ and guide individuals through discovering their leadership style and voice. Through one-on-one coaching, mentorship, and group facilitation, I’ve helped people step into leadership with clarity and confidence.
I’ve worked extensively with college students since 2016, serving at institutions including Texas State University, The University of Texas at Austin, and now co-pastoring a campus ministry at the University of North Texas–Denton alongside my husband, Chris. In parallel, my career as a family law attorney has strengthened my ability to communicate persuasively, think strategically, and lead under pressure through trial advocacy.
My Christian faith grounds everything I do. I believe that effective communication is essential to leadership, service, and meaningful impact — whether in ministry, education, business, or everyday relationships. Having participated in leadership programs such as Leadership Austin, Austin Young Lawyers’ Leadership Academy, and Leadership State Bar of Texas, I’ve traveled across the country teaching, mentoring, and equipping others to lead with purpose, conviction, and care for people.
